First-half-year figures for Swissmetal Group as at 30 June 2007
In the first half of 2007, Swissmetal generated gross sales of CHF 223.8 million(1) under continuing positive sector conditions. This represents a year-on-year increase of CHF 66.2 million or 42%. After adjustment of the year-back period for the special effect of metal sales, EBIT is CHF 6.1 million higher than the previous year. Total assets increased by CHF 25.6 million to CHF 242.3 million, mainly because of the acquisition of Avins Industrial Products Corp., Warren/NJ, USA, and higher metal prices. |
