Swissmetal has reservations about whether the so-called employee delegation genuinely represents the concerns of the workforce at Reconvilier. Only two of the nine employee representatives in attendance are still employed at the Reconvilier site on permanent contracts. Swissmetal considers it vital to the solution-finding process that the majority of the employee delegation be made up of active members of the workforce who are still familiar with the needs of the Reconvilier site.
Swissmetal is disconcerted to establish that various political, trade union and other non-company agents are still attempting to inflict damage upon Swissmetal in order to pursue their unattainable goal of a spin-off toward full independence at Reconvilier. Swissmetal calls upon these forces to cease their irresponsible campaigning and to do nothing further to threaten jobs at Reconvilier.
